Chapter 123 Family Heart Crisis and Hospital Encounters

"Mom, this kind of inspection report can be forged. Don't trust her," I quickly put away the piece of paper.

My mom nodded numbly and then stood up to leave, but the next second she fainted.

"Mom!"

After I took my mom to the hospital, she was quickly pushed into the emergency room. After a thorough examination, the doctor told me that my mom had an irregular heartbeat.

Just now at the café, my mom was definitely provoked by Ashlee.

Fortunately, my mom's condition was not too serious. She stayed in the hospital for a few days and then recovered well with proper care.

In the single ward, I looked at my mom lying on the bed, already asleep, feeling extremely miserable. In the previous life, when she went through all these things, she never told me, and she endured so much pain alone.

I was not a good daughter. Fortunately, the heavens gave me a chance to make amends.

Unconsciously, I fell asleep too, but then I heard a voice coming from next door. A man was shouting, "Oh, I don't need to be hospitalized, why do I need surgery! You guys are just worrying for no reason, wasting money!"

The sound was somewhat familiar, but I was too lazy to get up and see, so I just rolled over and went back to sleep.

"Mom, I'll go buy breakfast for you." The next morning, after I finished washing up, I said to my mom and prepared to go buy something to eat.

As I passed by the adjacent single ward, I saw several familiar faces.

Emilia and Kira were gathered around the bedside. Sam was lying in bed, and the family was chatting.

"Mrs. Hudson!" Kira spotted me keenly and walked out happily, "What brings you here? Are you feeling unwell?"

"Kira, you no longer work at my house, so you don't have to call me 'Mrs. Hudson' anymore. Just call me Syl," I smiled faintly, but my gaze shifted toward Emilia.

Emilia also put on a smile and walked out, "Sylvia, I didn't expect to run into you here. My mom mentioned before that she had worked as a maid at your house, and I was quite surprised!"

My smile became even gentler, "Yeah, we have such a strong connection. What happened to your dad?"

Sam should have recognized me, I was the unlucky guy who got knocked out by his brother with a stick, so he felt a bit embarrassed and quickly averted his gaze.

"Heart disease, he needed to undergo surgery." Emilia also turned back to glance at her father.

"So serious?" I was somewhat surprised. "Is there anything I can help with?"

Kira said, "Syl, you are too kind-hearted. Thank you for your kindness. Emilia found a friend who helped us. We don't have any problems at the moment."

I laughed coldly in my heart. It seems that Frederic came back in the middle of the night a couple of days ago because of this matter, right?

Emilia looked at me, her face still wearing a gentle smile, but her eyes were no longer as innocent as before.

Little did she know, she considered me as her love rival, but I didn't care at all because my own plan was to wait for Frederic to divorce me.

"Alright, Kira, I'll go buy breakfast for my mom first. She's not feeling well, her heart is a bit uncomfortable, so she's in the hospital." After the polite greeting, I waved to Kira and turned around to leave.

When I arrived at the elevator, I waited expressionlessly for the elevator door to open, but to my surprise, Tristan appeared in front of me.

He was wearing a white coat, holding a medical record book in his hand, wearing a pair of refined gold-rimmed glasses, and his temperament remained as cold as ever.

Seeing me, he frowned and asked, "What are you doing here?"

"My mom was sick." I was also surprised. "Why did you come back?"

"We finished the communication work ahead of schedule." Tristan walked out of the elevator and stood in front of me. "What happened to your mom?"

I told him about my mom's discomfort in her heart, and he nodded, "Hmm, people with heart problems should pay special attention to rest. Emotions are also very important."
