My head was still a little dizzy, but my mind was clear. When I saw Janessa looking guilty, I comforted her, "It's not your fault. Leonel is the one who's wrong. I don't regret telling you about his affair. That scumbag doesn't deserve you."
Janessa cried even harder.
At this moment, Greta and Cecelia came in carrying fruits. When they saw me, they quickly came over to check on me, "Syl, are you okay? Is your head still hurting?"
"Are you hungry? I will go buy you something to eat."
"Are you cold? I'll turn up the temperature a bit. You mustn't catch a cold!"
I shook my head gently, "I wasn't hungry or cold, but my head was a little dizzy."
Greta felt very sorry for me, "Poor Syl. You have been so unlucky these past two months. This is the second time you have injured your head. You won't become foolish, will you?"
I laughed and said, "I'm not afraid of becoming silly. You can take turns taking care of me."
In the conversation, I learned the ins and outs of the matter.
Leonel resented me, so he approached Alberto. They found an opportunity to kidnap me and demand money. Their intention was to take the money and throw me into the sea, then escape abroad.
But Frederic's phone became my opportunity. When Frederic heard me shout for help, he had someone locate my cell phone. Then he brought people to rescue me.
"Frederic couldn't find you, so he contacted me. He asked me to try and reach out to Leonel. When I called Leonel, the phone got disconnected," Janessa wiped her tears with a tissue. Her face was filled with anger, "I didn't expect Leonel to be so cruel and selfish. He blames his own mistakes on others. His parents even came to me begging for mercy. They have no shame!"
"We can't let him go!" Greta said disgustedly. "That scum should be in jail. Jan, luckily you left him. Otherwise, by the time you got married and had children, it would have been too late."
Janessa nodded, "Yes!"
When we were chatting, Tristan arrived.
He beat up Alberto for me. I forgave him for playing games against me before. I politely greeted him, "Hi, Dr. Shelton."
"Are you feeling dizzy?" Tristan didn't answer me, and then asked, "Did you vomit after waking up? Do you remember what happened before you fainted?"
I answered one by one.
After inquiring about my condition, Tristan said lightly, "You had a mild intracranial hemorrhage. You don't need surgery now. We will start with conservative treatment. The blood will be gradually absorbed in about a week, and then you can stay in the hospital for proper treatment."
"Okay," I complied with the doctor's arrangements. I entrusted professional matters to professionals.
Before leaving, Tristan looked at me deeply. But I couldn't tell what his gaze meant. Greta suddenly approached me. She blinked her eyes, with a suggestive smile on her face. She whispered, "Syl, does Tristan like you? But you are his friend's wife."
I immediately reached out and covered Greta's mouth. Tristan paused at the door, as if he had heard, and then left.
Cecelia went to close the door of the ward.
"Syl, didn't Frederic take you away on Christmas night?" Janessa also had a mysterious smile, "Did you encounter a thug when you left? And was he beaten up by Frederic?"
"How did you know?" I was somewhat surprised.
"Because later Tristan beat up the thug again. That person is still lying in the hospital. Don't you know?" Janessa stopped crying. She started gossiping, "After you guys left, we left too. When we were going downstairs, we saw a group of people surrounding a badly beaten man. After Tristan asked the manager about the situation, he beat up the thug again."
I was a bit surprised. What does Tristan mean?
Could it be possible that Tristan, like Frederic, simultaneously liked two women?
Greta laughed cunningly, "Haha, Syl, it seems like a lot of people have been liking you lately. Frederic is clearly treating you differently. Even Tristan, that cold-hearted man, sees you as special. This is really exciting!"
