I found it a bit strange. Tristan wanted to visit me. He made me feel like I was his elder.
Indeed, I was mistaken. He replied, "No, I saw Greta's Timeline and found out that you were at the Berger's place."
I glared at Greta again, who was giggling at her phone at that moment.
"Yes, my parents went out. I felt lonely, so I went to Greta's house," I casually said.
"Wasn't Frederic with you?" Tristan wondered.
"Why is he accompanying me? Our country doesn't allow a man to have two wives," I said calmly. "He should be with Emilia now."
Tristan fell silent. I suddenly realized that I had touched upon his sadness and quickly said, "Never mind. Why did I bring him up? Where are you?"
Tristan continued, "I was at home."
"Give my regards to your parents!" I pretended to be polite.
Actually, I was not familiar with his parents at all, and I didn't even know what they looked like.
Tristan laughed and said, "Okay."
Suddenly, I remembered something. Does Tristan know about Lillian's existence?
I think as Frederic's best friend, Tristan should have known Lillian.
I wanted to ask, but I didn't know how to ask. Also, Greta was there, and I didn't want to tell them about Lillian for now. I was afraid they would get furious.
"Dr. Shelton, when did you start working? My heart seems to be a little uncomfortable again. I want to go to the hospital," I asked.
"Tomorrow," Tristan replied quickly.
Moreover, I couldn't drive. I planned to have Greta give me a ride. I really wanted to talk to Tristan in person about Lillian's matter.
"I will go to the hospital tomorrow," I said without hesitation.
After hanging up the phone, I looked at Greta. She was still smiling foolishly.
Who was she chatting with after all? I shifted my buttocks, wanting to move closer. However, she reacted quickly and immediately put away her phone.
I asked hesitantly, "Greta, are you in love?"
Her previous boyfriends were all passing through. They were not in a romantic relationship before.
Greta blushed and denied, "No, he was just a candidate. I thought he was quite interesting to talk to."
I blinked meaningfully. "Greta, are you superstitious?"
Greta shook her head.
"Okay. Tomorrow, you accompany me to the hospital," I said cheerfully.
"That was a bit unlucky," Greta rolled her eyes. "But I am your best friend."
Dylan washed the fruit and brought it out. The three of us ate and drank, and then we played games together for a while. Time passed quickly.
The next morning, I limped into Greta's car. She had originally wanted Dylan to drive me, but I covered her mouth with my hand.
After arriving at the hospital, I successfully got Tristan's number. I went into the consultation room alone, while Greta waited for me outside.
Recently, there have been fewer people visiting the hospital for medical treatment, and I didn't have any other patients after that. So we could chat for a few more minutes. "Do you know Lillian?"
When Tristan heard this name, his expression in his eyes changed. "How did you hear this name?"
"My mother-in-law told me about this name," I replied. "She was Frederic's true first love, right?"
After looking at me for a few seconds, Tristan asked, "Can we meet tonight?"
"Okay," I couldn't wait to learn more about Lillian.
