Just as I hung up the phone to look for Dylan, Emilia's friend walked past me. She deliberately bumped into my shoulder.
"Stop!" I didn't indulge her either, grabbing her arm and coldly saying, "Don't you have eyes? Apologize to me!"
As soon as I finished speaking, a friend from her band ran over and called out to her, "Kylah!"
Kylah glanced at her friend who ran over, then forcefully shook off my hand, "Old lady, why are you grabbing onto me?"
She should be around the same age as Emilia, but she called me an old woman. It was clear what she meant.
"What's wrong?" Kylah's friend asked.
"It was this old woman who drove Emilia to suicide!" Kylah directly blamed me for the accusation.
Her friend immediately became hostile when she looked at me.
I felt both angry and amused. "Did I harm Emilia? If she didn't do anything wrong, why would she want to commit suicide? You guys are college students. Have you abandoned all principles and morals?"
"Emilia has been rejecting your husband all along!" Kylah exclaimed angrily. "It's your husband who has been pursuing her. Why don't you blame your husband instead? Besides, everyone knows that you and your husband have no real feelings for each other. It's just a relationship based on interests. A woman like you, who can't obtain a man's love, is probably already twisted in her heart, isn't she?"
Dylan, who was not far away, seemed to have noticed the conflict between me and someone else and walked over.
He stood beside me and asked, "What's wrong?"
Kylah looked at Dylan and seemed momentarily stunned. Girls of her age are always prone to being attracted to handsome guys. I noticed earlier when I was playing, she would stare at me but occasionally steal glances at Dylan.
Maybe she thought it was just a crowded place, assuming that I didn't know Dylan and it was just a coincidence that I was standing next to him.
"These two women are standing up for their friend," I chuckled. "You also know her friend. She's the one who has been trending with Frederic these days."
Dylan's face underwent a subtle change. His expression turned slightly displeased. He grabbed my hand and said, "Birds of a feather flock together. What are you saying to someone like this?"
His words angered Kylah. She stood in front of us and asked confidently, "Sir, haven't you heard a saying? Love doesn't have a first-come-first-served rule, the one who is not loved is the third party!"
"Emilia was innocent, she was forced to act, why do you bully her?"
I really admire it, they actually completely reversed right and wrong.
Originally, I thought they might have been deceived by Emilia's one-sided words and were unaware of the truth. But now it seems that they have become the first batch of foolish fans of that legendary love story between the two.
Since that was the case, I had to make them feel uncomfortable.
"Yes, you're right," I applauded. "Actually, I thought the same way before, so I filed for divorce and was ready to let them be together. But now that you're so excited, I've changed my mind. I'll withdraw the lawsuit tomorrow."
After I finished speaking, Kylah's face was truly colorful. She exchanged a glance with her friend and even started stuttering. "If you... if you have the ability, don't withdraw the lawsuit!"
"Tsk, when your good friend Emilia finds out, she will definitely think you two are idiots, right? She was just about to have a legitimate reason, and you two morons ruined it," I said with a smirk.
Kylah became anxious, "No. You cannot withdraw the lawsuit!"
I ignored her and turned around to leave. She wanted to come after me again. I rudely pushed her away. She couldn't maintain her balance and ended up sitting on the ground, looking both angry and afraid to do anything to me.
"I told you, if you fucking touch me again, I have ways to kill you. Do you think Frederic married me? It's because my family background is better than you naive and cute little girls. Go blame Emilia for not giving birth to a good child!" I angrily cursed at Kylah.
Kylah stared at me straight, with frustration and anger in her eyes. However, she dared not say anything more.
Her friend helped her up. The two of them walked away dejectedly.
